What to Expect

Here are some helpful tips to make your visit at Oak Studio as enjoyable as possible:

Drink water before, during, and after your class. Staying hydrated is essential to staying healthy! Forgot yours at home? No problem! You can purchase bottled water for $2.

Bring a water bottle, hand towel, and yoga mat. Our classes use a yoga mat, and with COVID-19 procedures in place, we cannot offer loaner mats at this time. You can leave your personal belongings in the cubbies in the lobby.

No shoes required. Our classes are all practiced barefoot. You can leave your shoes on the mat next to the cubbies.

Wear comfortable clothing for exercise. Some acceptable options may be leggings or shorts, tank tops or short sleeve shirts—anything you can move in without discomfort! For yoga classes, you may want to avoid loose-fitting tops, which tend to fall in certain poses. Psst...be sure to check out Oak Studio’s apparel to wear in the studio or out and about!

Bring your mask! The health and safety of our community is important to us. We are asking everyone to wear a mask at the studio. You may take it off during class and leave it on your mat, but will need to put it on when class is over.

Arrive a few minutes early. Doors open 10 minutes before class. Arriving a few minutes early will help ensure you won’t be rushed to set up your space. We do lock the doors at the start of class to keep your valuables safe and to allow you to enjoy your practice without distractions.

Check in at the front desk before heading into the workout space. We want to make sure we meet you and get you signed into class.

Before class, be sure to share with your instructor any injuries that may affect your fitness routine.

Silence your cell phone and electronic devices during class. If you need to keep your phone handy in case of an emergency or an important call, please just let us know ahead of time.

Listen to verbal cues to maximize your results. Get the most out of class! Try to minimize talking so you don’t miss any helpful cues.

After class, be sure to wipe down your equipment and mat with gym wipes provided.
