FAQs What makes Oak Studio different from other fitness or yoga studios? Oak Studio was created to meet all your fitness needs under one roof. We’re not just a yoga studio—we also offer bootcamp-style workouts and yoga with weights, so you can pick the classes based on your goals. We also show you how to layer your classes depending on what you’d like to achieve. We also understand that fitness can be pricey. We know it’s a commitment of your time and money to join a studio. That’s why we offer affordable memberships so you can take advantage of our classes without breaking the bank. Beyond fitness, we are a community of individuals seeking connection while having fun working out. This is what makes Oak Studio so special! Is Oak Studio a yoga studio? Always feel free to contact us to discuss what may be best for you! When should I arrive for my class? If it’s your first time to Oak Studio, welcome! We are so happy you’re here. We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to class to sign in so we can give you a tour of our space. We’ll show you where to put your stuff and help you get everything you need to set up your mat. If you are not a first-timer, please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class to give yourself some time to check in, store your items, and get set up at your mat. We do lock the doors after class starts, so please be on time. Do you have parking? Yes! There is ample free parking (woo-hoo!). What if it’s my first time? Hooray! We are so happy to have you here. There is absolutely no “must” or “have to” in class. Do I need to sign up for a class before I arrive? We recommend signing up for a class ahead of time to make sure you reserve your spot. Feel free to sign up through our site or download our app to make registering a breeze! You are welcome to drop in and pay upon arrival, but we can’t guarantee the class won’t be full. What is your cancellation policy? We totally get it—life happens! Sometimes you can’t always make a class. If so, we ask that you cancel at least 4 hours before class, so someone else has a chance to snag their spot. If you cancel within 4 hours of class, you will be charged for the class. Are the classes all levels? Yes! Our classes are open for all levels and approachable for everyone—beginner or expert! Specific classes will explain whether some experience is recommended, but if you are new, just let your instructor know and listen carefully to the verbal cues. Remember to relax and have fun! Each class is different, but if the class has added heat, it will be shown on our schedule. I’m not very flexible, can I do yoga? Yes! We’ll meet you on the mat—wherever you are at. The beauty of yoga is coming to the mat exactly as you are. If you are brand new to yoga or looking to build the foundations of your practice, we recommend our yoga foundations series. Also, be sure to keep an eye out for workshops that will grow your practice. What if I have an injury or am pregnant? Speak to your instructor before class to discuss any injuries or limitations you may have. Your instructor will make sure to offer modifications when appropriate. If you are pregnant, please consult with your physician prior to working out. What should I bring? For all classes you will need a water bottle and mat (or borrow one of ours!). Feel free to bring a towel, especially during more energizing classes. Yoga classes and sculpt flow classes are practiced barefoot, so leave your shoes in the cubbies located in the lobby. If you are signed up for an Oak Fit class, make sure to wear athletic shoes. What if I’m late or need to leave early? We understand life (and traffic!) sometimes gets in the way, so if you are running late, please check in, store your belongings, and quietly enter the workout space. We do lock doors shortly after class starts, so please be sure to arrive on time. If you need to leave early, please let the instructor know ahead of time and set up your mat in a spot that won’t disrupt class when you leave. Can my kids come? Your time spent in class is time spent for you. We kindly ask that you leave your kids at home. Young adults ages 15 and up are welcome. Do you have changing rooms and showers? Yes! We have two roomy bathrooms for you to change and get ready for class. We also have a shower stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, and other goodies for you to freshen up after class. As a courtesy to others, please try to keep showers as short as possible. Can I reserve Oak Studio for a private class or event? Of course! We’d love to have you.
